Funny that you're looking to get a Z4 after your Exige - I'm looking at going the other way at some point!

Nice. I'm afraid pretty much anything after the Exige will feel soft and cumbersome. Never seen one with a soft top conversion before as well. Does it feel any different to drive? Is there noticeable reduction in structural rigidity?

The roof doesn't actually add any structural rigidity - all the rigidity is in the bonded alu tub, as with the Elise. The roof is just bolted in place so doesn't take too long to remove. Initially Lotus claimed that removing the roof could cause overheating (roof scoop less effective), but it's been tested on various trackdays and there's no difference in engine temperatures.

Let me know if you want to compare anytime. I presume you're not far from Bristol.

That would be great! I'm only in Swindon - PM me and we'll sort something out :D

I'm actually probably just selling mine for something cheaper now, but will be in an Exige some time soon! I really want the S!

You obviously have you priorities correct unlike many. Lovely car whilst your house appears to be in need of new windows :D
