Ourrun - Where you based mate? My folks live in Helensburgh, down there a fair bit, would love to see your car as your doing the same mods as i'm proposing...Same colour too...So you may not want to show me the car! lol.

Cheers

Ali

I'm in Mearnskirk, in the Southside of Glasgow. Really easy to access off the M77 and you're welcome to see it anytime.

Will drop you a PM the next time i'm down! On my route home anyway!

Question...Gruppe M, Zorst, Wheels, springs...What do BM say if you take the car in for a warrenty fix...i.e if it's a lamda sensor or aircon fault...lol...Do they void it?

Never had an issue with BM service and the car has Eibach springs, CSLs, K&N filter and is remapped. They don't give a SH*T as they ge paid for warranty work anyway.

Lets hope the London dealers are as friendly! :(

I agree! I farted in my old reno and they questioned the warrenty! (issue wasn't the smell honest) lol.

What dealer do you use in Glasgow mate?

Me neither. No problems with servicing.

Douglas Park in town - old Henry Bros. All the rest are rubbish.

Can you fire some recentish pics up of the car? Found a few old ones of yours! Looks stunning! Want to see the height with springs/CSL's.

Also i see Drivers did your map...Did you have it RR'd before and after?

I'll try and get some snaps at the weekend. It's not been out of this year yet!

I didn't RR it because the only place recommended to me is out Kirkcaldy way. The ones in Glasgow all get bad press. Anyway, i can feel the difference in the torque curve which is what i wanted to happen. It pulls from all over the rev range now without any flat spots. The remap and the CDV mod have transformed the car.

I know drivers pretty well. Old boy used to run Deutsch Tune in Glasgow (May of heard of them)

Also CDV mod? Seen this a few times? What did the map sting you 400sheets?

I remember Deutsch Tune, down Kinning Park way ?

The CDV is a clutch delay valve. Basically, BMW build in a delay to the clutch action to stop idiots (I think mainly test driving idiots who are used to autos and not stick shift - not pointing any fingers) from lighting up the rear tyres and spinning M cars into lampposts. The only problem is that this delay causes severe "kangarooing" on our car which i'm sure you've experienced. It doesn't happen all the time but any slight mis-time and they bounce all over the place. The Modified CDV from Zeckhausen Racing in the USA removes this "safety" feature and makes the clutch response normal, as it should be.

I can't remember what the map cost, i think maybe £500 but i'm really not sure. I think it's worth the cash but lots of people are worried by their warranty situation if you do it. I've never had an issue and Drivers can return your car to stock if needed anyway.

Yes! Bloody nightmare. I forgot i had it in sport...And pulled away like a learner! NOT a good look! I'll have a look into the CDV.

Ooouch 500£! Sac that lol! Custom map from OMEX is cheaper!

Deutsch tune went tits up in the early 00's i think...4 years after my old boy sold it on! They tried to go too big too soon! Not to mention the guy that bought it didn't know the front of the car from the back!

Quick shot of the Supersprint exhaust that went on yesterday. Suprised how heavy it was approx same as O.E. It has a slight drone at 2000rpm but apart from that very happy with it. Showed the roof as somebody wanted at closer look.

Sounds nice - once I get another job I might start looking at some 'toys'.

Need one of those centre armrests though, as my elbow seems to sit on one edge or the other of the little bit I've got now.

It's cat back only with cross over pipe. Putting 100 cell cats on upsets the four O2 sensors so unless the tuner can alter these settings stay clear £££££ :(

im currently ordering the hayward and scott but im unsure what tail pipe size to go with, what size tailpipes is the superprint system?? im looking to order 75mm tail pipes which is 5m larger than stock but unsure how this will look. ive got some pics of the hayward and scott and im impressed with the quality, plus theirs big weight saving with their system.
