I didn't RR it because the only place recommended to me is out Kirkcaldy way. The ones in Glasgow all get bad press. Anyway, i can feel the difference in the torque curve which is what i wanted to happen. It pulls from all over the rev range now without any flat spots. The remap and the CDV mod have transformed the car.

The CDV is a clutch delay valve. Basically, BMW build in a delay to the clutch action to stop idiots (I think mainly test driving idiots who are used to autos and not stick shift - not pointing any fingers) from lighting up the rear tyres and spinning M cars into lampposts. The only problem is that this delay causes severe "kangarooing" on our car which i'm sure you've experienced. It doesn't happen all the time but any slight mis-time and they bounce all over the place. The Modified CDV from Zeckhausen Racing in the USA removes this "safety" feature and makes the clutch response normal, as it should be.
I can't remember what the map cost, i think maybe £500 but i'm really not sure. I think it's worth the cash but lots of people are worried by their warranty situation if you do it. I've never had an issue and Drivers can return your car to stock if needed anyway.
