exhausts

thats not too bad then, just gotta convince the missus :D

do you have any video clicks of said "cannon fire" ?

Not yet but I will give it a try. I just have to find a place to drive the ass off my car at night with somebody behind filming and not get arrested. I did get it once when stationary. I bounced the engine off the rev limiter when I accidentaly pinned the pedal to the floor getting out of the car. The result was lots of flame and an engine check light for air intake volume out of limits. I don't really want to do that again! I think the Alpina does it because it has a tendancy to dump raw fuel down the pipes on overrun and of course straight through pipes do nothing to contain the burn. Might be something to do with the high lift cams, they tend to cause a rough idle too which is an unfortunate side effect. Oh well, can't have everything! I might try to record the sound from inside the car over the next couple of days, that would be a good start I suppose.

yeah inside is what i'm interested it anyway :D my old Sierra used to pop flame on the overun after i moddified the fuel shut off valve, it wasn't very fast or economical but smiles per mile were fantastic! LOL i once got pulled in it and the copper asked me what was wrong with the engine

I don't think video clips really help as either you decide it sounds a bit too loud or not loud enough or it sounds great but is it that good for real :D

Maybe we need a weekend meet in Wales or somewhere so we can hear some of these exhausts for real :driving:

That sounds like a plan but the only problem is that I work weekends. I've got a weeks holiday in October though and the other possibility is a meet in Leicester where Doh comes from. I have to go there for a work disiplinary at some point but that's another story!
