Hi all/has anyone any info on the best place/prices for either eisnman/miltek exhausts,or alternatives,for a 2005 3.0i se roadster?
looked at a few sites and they want over £600 for just a bacbox, tho im sure i have seen the miltek (twin round)backbox for just 480.
also info on full sys and sports cats, thanks

Not done this personally yet...
acerboo is running a Remus which he rates... IIRC he didn't like the Miltek.

bigcoose has a BlueFlame - which was used for the pattern for the Z4! Not heard it, but if it's anything like they did on the one for my GSXR I'm going to be all over it!

It may be worth having a look on YouTube - anyone who's bothered to film their system may have listed where they bought it.

If you have a shortlist try looking up the manufacturers sites for their distributors.

BlueFlame, I contacted them direct... although did take a couple days for a reply
MStyle, although I understand they can be on the pricey side
DemonTweeks?
EliteDirect.com

Finally, one thing which I found quite useful; I picked up Performance BMW, not my thing usually but there was an article on a modified Z4M... anyway, there's a specialist directory and list of web sites in the back which could help.

hi yes i have the remus sounds good and im well satisfied there is one on you tube, the miltek sounded good but did not fit the si but i think the i is different i think i paid £500 fitted. eisenmann are very good but very expensive. be warned they are not an easy diy fit and you would definitely need a ramp

I have a miltek full system fitted to mine 3.0 Z4 2004 and it rocks my world. bit boomy at low revs (quite boomy) but if you want a system that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck when you wind it up this is the one.

full stainless system including second stage 100 cell racing cats in the first section and then new through out.

most that have heard it on road and on track when pushing hard say its the best they have heard!

I have taken a video CLICK which has good sound quality. i have blanked out any incriminating evidence from the video so all you can see is the dash but you can hear the sound of the exhaust.

the mic is taped to the centre of the dash, the small foam pice is removed from the noise generator and the roof is down.

see what you think.

Bigcoose has one, his was the pattern for the Z4 system, quick review on this thread...

And Wayne is speaking to them about a quad system...

Just an update on my planned quad system. I visited Demon Tweeks and quite frankly they are only in the business of fitting direct replacements and in my opinion these were aimed at the boy-racer market where noise is the desired outcome, suffice to say they declined the project, not that I would have entrusted them with the work anyway. I had a couple of telephone conversations with MStyle regarding the T pipe quad system and when I questioned them about my concerns of getting equal amounts of smoke emitting from both sides, well lets just say they failed to convince me. I then visited BlueFlame and spoke to a bloke called David in the bespoke dept. who I must say came across very knowledgeable. One point he did make however, was that if they were to fit a quad cat-back system it would be louder and stated that if the original system were to be classed as a 3 on the loudness scale, then the replacement system would be classed a 5. I was impressed with BlueFlame but have since decided to fit a pair of OEM M boxes. I hope this helps.

I'd be interested in seeing what they can do generally. They were good with a car I had in the past offering a good sensible sounding system at a good quality and price.

Does anyone offer a decent tubular manifold for the M54 engine at all? Ie, without the pre-cats? I see Milltek do sports cats, but I guess that is the front cats not the manifold ones... and they ain't cheap. I'd rather put money into manifolds than brand new sports cats :D
