ok im interested in this because i want a new exhaust system, cat back would be just fine, in regards to the RSR Powerflow ones im sure ive seen the twin pipes like on my 3.0 before? if they are quoting £80 for cat back that seems like a bargain?!

RSR (Powerflow) can do it but have advise against it as it would be very loud and not the best option. Their universal silencers won't work.

£80 is to change the tailpipes on the Remus system to a standard looking chrome finish and not the Turbo design. So it would be £450 for the Remus and then about £80 to have nice tailpipes fitted.

If we can get the H&S custom cat back system for around £500 then thats what I will be doing..... :D

I have a Remus...

So the tips can be changed?????

Well the chaps at Powerflow were confident they could be changed. Obviously any warranty with Remus would be lost and Powerflow were concerned by the way the tips were attached, but seemed very switched on to what was required.

WIll try and post noise tomorrow, weather crap this weekend didnt get chance to get out in it.

I hope there are some updates to this topic this weekend because I want to order either Supersprint, Eisenmann or Remus exhaust this weekend.

Is the Remus raspy and does it bang and pop like the Eisenmann?

Just waiting on a video of the Remus from any of the owners!! I am keen for the Remus due to its Value for money and that Elite aren't very far from where I live!

On the note of the Remus tail pipes, I am now looking into having them finished in matte black to reduce the bling look. My car is black so could look good.

ANY REMUS OWNERS WITH A SPARE 10 MINS AND A CAMERA PLEASE HELP!!!!

I would be Keen to hear what this sounds like too............ also anyone know of a good remus dealer in scotland..... aberdeen stockist wants 625 unfitted !!!!

Well if one day a video of the Remus exhaust shows up I think I might fall over in shock... :poke: instead I have contacted Milltek to request production of their discontinued system. I wonder how many orders they would need to get it going. Would 5 people at least be interested in this system if they make it again? Let me know on this topic or by PM please.

If you are interested I found a company that makes titanium back boxes for Z4's but require some quite serious fitting (welding of rear joint). The box was just $750 but I expect shipping would be expensive from China!!! http://dg-quanshu.en.alibaba.com/product/225488449-200689753/exhaust_system_for_BMW_Z4.html I have made contact with them if anyone is interested I will pass on the details.

I take it that Milltek's system is the one that is incompatible with the 3.0si?

If it was one that would fit, then I would be interested.

Just because I love it - sound clip of the Eisenmann Sport system on my 2003 2.5 (taken to test the sound recorder):

This was taken on the move, up to about 40 / 50mph.

If you don't want the quad setup the twin setup is meant to sound the same. For more noise there is a Race system.

Sounds a bit like my ESS but trades a bit of low end for a raspy metallic edge. The downshift bop-bop-bop's are quite addictive :D

So love the quad look

Thanks chaps, am very please with it myself :D

Bobbydm, the twin, single sided Eisenmann setup, is meant to sounds almost the same. Actually if it's not on your list the ESS system is a good call... nice and burbly.
