Have you taken sound generator foam out

Its a few years ago, but its all of the small foam out and cut the large foam in half.

I tried it all out once and i thought it was $hit!

This is from inside my old Z4 when i was doing some develpment work with the video scenes for the launch of the Toyota GT86.

The mike is in the centre of the dash.

I have had to blank out the speedo :driving:

I want to do the exhaust on my 3.0 too but looking around online it seems the options are limited to eismann or Remus.

I contacted a couple of companies such as longlife and they quoted £550 to custom build a cat back system and could tweak the noise to my requirements. May go ahead with it in the new year.

I had a remus back box and it was bloody noisy...... not in a nice way.

I would also steer clear of bespoke systems.

i really like the sound of the miltec one. i also like minibb's idea of having a long life box tweaked to suit how you want it to sound.

where are long life based, anyone know of companies in the mids that will do this?

how much is a miltec?

I thought the sound gen thing was just for noise in the cabin

It is, but my Milltek was probably one of the best sounding exhaust systems on a Z4 6 cal. around. many of my Z4 owing buddies used to comment on its beautiful sound.

So much so, that a mate purchase it from me when i changed to the E89. I heard it the other day on a run in Scotland. it still sound great!

But be cautions. Get everything in writing that might be agreed to. Just my experience
