Exhaust tips

Have decided to go for a custom stainless backbox to get a little more of the straight six soundtrack out (doesn't seem like anyone mainstream makes them). Nothing chavy just a little more noise at the top revs. Only problem is I've no idea what sort of tips to go for. Either a variation of the standard twin rounds or something a little different. Any pics of anyone's?

Machine Monkey is your man on here for some class stainless exhaust tips....search will find him.

Hi op

I am indeed the guy that can help. I can supplie you a set of tips like Tom has above for £45. I can also help out with the extra noise while keeping the standard exhaust. It will be a bit of a deeper sound a little raspier and a few pops and bangs. I can do both the tips and the exhaust mod for £90. You would have to come to ox28 for me to do it. And the payment made to the z4 forum.

MM, what exactly is involved in the exhaust mod? How much would you charge me if I've already got your tips?

Nothing I don't think lux as for mastering e89 tips. It's hard to build customer made bits for a car when you don't have the car!! They will be done soon buddy

Are you still not coming tomoz ? :(

No mate my car is getting all the last mechanical bits done tomorrow. Up bright and early to get oily hands. I have only done 1500 miles in this year  :(

Cheers for the replies. I can't decide whether to stick to the standard twin or go for something like an oval or oblong type. Kind of similar to the x5. I think with it only on one side it might look a bit daft. Been quoted £140-180 for backbox full stainless. Price dependant on tips, so a good price really.
