Picked these up this morning... chinese made, seem very good quality, stainless steel with pressure fitting that grip when pushed on, took all of 10 seconds, I guess you can add a little self tapper for security but dont think I will bother I dont think they will rattle off although they could be pulled off by a toerag I suppose. Bit of a bargain at less than 20 quid imho... link is here

Certainly a lot cheaper than the BMW parts, and looks pretty similar. In fact they seem near enough identical to the tips on my dad's F10, they're also just a push fit but genuine BMW parts, at about £50 each new I believe!

They look excellent for £20 ! 'Baloney' cut pipes always look better imo than straight cut ones too. I would be tempted to put a self tapper/machine screw in if I was you though. Surprised they weren't supplied.

Thanks for the heads up. Just sent for some, got a machine monkey set at the moment but i feel a bit boy racer with the bigger ones on :D

Thanks for tip (pun intended)!

Ordered a pair and they fit perfect and look great.

I put them on my E85 2.5i but I also have an E85 3.0si which I test fitted them on and the exhaust is exactly the same so fit fine.

Here's a few pics if anyone is interested:

They look great and a decent price!

Any chance of a dummy's guide to swapping them over (inc. self tapper)?

Obviously when cold!!!!! They look great but what about a 2.0L would one of the tips fit? Mine is looking shabby..........

Nope, not these tips - the standard exhaust tip on 2.0L is an oval shape

Ordered. Cheers for the heads up. Look much better than the oem pipes. I would imagine they would probably look tatty if not maintained going by experience on my Volvo daily driver but at £20 a pop they could just be replaced.

Pull them off and push them on

Is it actually that simple? What about the mention of screws - do any need removing, people seem to be recommending putting them in?

I can just see myself attempting to pull them off, having no luck, then pulling harder and harder until something breaks and wishing I'd just asked my garage to swap them over the next time I'm in
