Exhaust tip dimensions

So, I am after a set of exhaust tips and want black (haven't decided on gloss, matt or satin) or carbon.

I think the inner diameter is somewhere around 60-63mm?

What I am wondering is what is the maximum outer diameter before the exhaust tips would clash? Also do you think if they sat pretty snug with each other it would look good, or would it look better with a small gap (as OEM)?

Mine are almost touching. 74mm max outer diameter. Don't forget your exhaust tailpipes taper to a narrower diameter

Thanks that's really useful. The ones I was looking at were 85mm outer diameter, so definitely a no go.

I think I'll get some OEM (or OEM style) ones. Then sand, paint and clear coat them.

E-bay specials. There is a gap between them of around 3mm.
