Exhaust system ideas for e85

I have a ‘05 3.0i. Currently, my exhaust system is completely stock. I’m looking to get a catback system, not looking for anything specific, just a nice mean sound that isn’t obnoxiously loud. Any ideas/recommendations?

Some owners have had the oem backbox reworked internally for a better note, others just cut the rear box off & throw it away (the obnoxious part you mention might be an issue)

yeah i definitely don’t want to remove it completely. I’ve heard about the internal rework, but haven’t looked into it much. Is it complicated? and how much would it run me?

Quick question I hope someone can assist. I have an E85 Z4 2.0 with an OEM exhaust which I am more than happy with!! However I would like to change the tips to the twin pipe. What is the best way around this without buying a louder system? Suggestions would be really appreciated.
