I have a 2003 bmw z4 2.5i and i want to make it LOUD...i have been looking around but can't find anything...i was looking for a borla header but i dont think its available for The 03 z4...any help?

If you just want noise then remove the rear box, beware though as it seems to lose a chunk of bhp as well

Catless headers will increase volume more than any other exhaust mod, but you will have to deal with emissions. You won't lose power with muffler changes unless you decrease diameter or use restrictive bends.

If i do straight pipes i wont pass the MOT though will i?

Find a 'friendly' tester.

But no it won't pass.

You may have some fortune removing the back box and resonator.

I have same car and year as op. BB delete and it sounds luuurvley. Loud.. Yes! But in a good way, the engine note type way not the cherry bomb way.

Not been on rollers but no feeling of any drop in power at all, I read a pretty thorough post on Zpost regarding pressure and what's happening by the time gas gets to the back box... No difference at all having no mufflers other than glorious growls, pops and bangs.

Important to mention though... Long journeys in motorways is hell, I'm used to it but just got back from a 4.5 hour drive from Hereford today and I'm shattered, I just knackeres you out being droney. I mainly drive back roads 95% so not so fussed

I still have the back box . What I did was remove the secondary cats and resonator box . Replace with straight through pipe . Then in rear silencer do two 20 mm bypass pipes .
