Exhaust question??

 In the shire Oxfordshire
On the 3.0l not sure about other engines. Behind the back box and in front of the rear axle there is another small box. Any ideas what it is? And can i loose it it makes my quad plans DIFFICULT :headbang: !!

Ok some pictures anyone know what it dose. More importantly can it come off as it will make my exhaust build easier.

it looks like a crossflow section?

edit: it says on that link it's a rear center muffler

I think it is just a small additional silencer - on the OEM M X pipe there is one where the pipes "cross"; it is not there on (for example) the Supersprint or H&S versions of the X pipe.

Don't rely wholly on my word but I am pretty sure you can do without it.

best get that diff in tho mate.. National meet is only a couple of weekends away.. :poke:
