Exhaust options

Yup, another exhaust thread but you can't ever have enough of them :)
Thinking about doing something to the 3.0si's exhaust but I don't want a complete exhaust upgrade.

The questions:
1. Can you get a decent sound with just replacing the backbox? I don't want to go quad, so dual is fine for now.
2. Are you better off doing muffler delete like here:

3. Or muffler delete + resonators:

Obviously an eisenmann sports would sound amazing but not £1000+ amazing, but what other alternatives are out there? Remus, magnaflow, etc.

Back box delete sounds good, but with exhausts it's dependant on what you like the sounds of. You won't really gain any performance or lose any (unless it's completely shite)

Sticking with the dual pipes is a good idea and since it's cheaper you can do what you like and be confident you won't spend a fortune achieving it.

Have a look at long life or other custom exhaust place.
Another option is bob bypass for a cheap way of having a bit more pop too.

I'm bouncing around the idea of an exhaust but I like how the 3.0si sounds as is but do love more pop.
I'm in no rush so my final note is take your time.

Precisely. I want to do it for sound only, don't really care about performance gain (unless I lose some that is).
At the same time I don't want to end up with something so loud that it fries my brain every day.

Anyone on here done something similar? How are you finding it?

PM me your email and ill send you a video of the 3.0si backbox delete I had done, actual drive-bys rather than just sat behind the car revving! I did this write up on it as well:
