Exhaust options

Ok, new to the forum and have ask a few questions which have been very useful.
Anyway, have been to look at a few now, and taken a couple for a test drive, and hopefully will be buying shortly.
My only issue is the lack of noise, probably having TVR's hasn't helped on that front :D
So, realistically what are the options open to me to fit an after market back box unit/new system?
Can anyone put any links up who offers a sports exhaust that will give me a bit more noise, and approx cost.
Any help or pointers to where I can get such a system would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Also....

£900ish for full catback on an M. Request sound levels.

This guy is an artist! Custom exhausts at good prices.

I can vouch for the rogue engineering Diablo, mmm-five's car sounds amazing!

My budget I think will see me with an RPI.

Hi Popey, the Diablo system looks the business.
The X-pipe looks a bit expensive, presumably gives some extra volume, as replaces the resonator box? Do you know if mmm-five's system has the X-pipe section fitted as well? Makes for an expensive system overall.
Would love to hear one with just the new back boxes fitted. Still a tad expensive, but then you only get what you pay for.

Mine's just the back boxes, but I think they're loud enough for my daily driver.

There is a sound-clip on youtube, but I don't think it does it justice.

Seriously though, they sound brilliant but they're an acquired taste to put it mildly. They're very, very, very loud and drone A LOT.

Thanks for the clips guys.
The Diablo ones sound nice, but the RPI ones sound the business :)
Where can the RPI ones be sourced from, and how much?

The RPI ones are the dog's - but I couldn't live with them on a daily driver doing 20-30k a year.

Maybe a custom-made switchable system would work best - something Diablo loud for day-to-day use (and track-friendly), and a flap to make them RPI LOUD when you're in the middle of the mountains or going through a tunnel

Can't remember how much now but it wasn't cheap. I want one tho, would like to wait for a used one. However even used they go for £500+!

I modded my silencers and they sound pretty good and there is zero drone:

I think this is a good starting point and then you could make it louder if needed / wanted.

I thought the same as you at first, not quite loud enough, but now i think bmw got it dead right, have heard some droney after market systems that ruin the pleasure of the car. open both windows, sport on dsc off...... man it's sweet

Do you ever plan to go with an aftermarket S-pipe? That's where all the power is in the Euro spec cars. If you do, then get the S-pipe first before deciding on the mufflers. If you don't, a "race" exhaust will be more easily tolerated. The stock cats muffle the sound quite a bit.

I went from Rogue Diablos with the stock U.S. spec exhaust, to swapping the OEM headers and S-pipe for a Supersprint V1 setup - stepped headers and section 1 with HJS race cats. The car was near-perfect prior to the install, but now it's LOUD and drones like crazy around 2k rpm. I've grown to love it, and the car sounds amazing over 3k rpm. It's tough to live with and draws a lot of attention... it sounds downright brutal from outside the car  .
