Then take them to an indy to fit, BMW probably won't fit as not supplied by them but will cost you a fraction of the price all in, well under £1000 put it that way. £2900 for two new boxes fitted is throwing money away IMHO unless there's something I've missed regarding fitting.

£300, plus maybe £150-£200 or so fitted at a decent indy = a shed load of money left over for beer to celebrate an epic saving!

The "Center muffler with pipes" apparently also needs replacing. I would call this the pipe/tube that connects to the box. On the video they sent me they just refer to the right box and the connection with the pipe, so I assume the end of the pipe is also damaged. But I guess that still could be done by indy too.

Take Nige bcs's advice and give him a call!!!
The flange kit WITH RINGS Mike linked to are also a must at £30. Had a trip to BCS today and - guess what - flange and ring kit needed. I'll be back there next week to what I thought was going to happen today...still, I won't regard it as a wasted trip if next week goes OK and I appreciated the techie saying he couldn't do the work without further parts - better dismantling the whole back end only to find you can't now re-attach it....
