Exhaust note

Hey guys, i have a 2.2 e85 and i want to make my car louder but i dont want to buy a new exhaust system. So i was thinking of taking the muffler out, one of my friends said it would make it louder. Do any of you guys have experience with this, any tips would be appreciated

you cant just "take the muffler out" its a 1 piece system you will have to cut it out.. this will lead to several things
1) It will look shite
2) It will be ridiculously loud
3)You will lose power

So... dont be a cheapskate and buy a new back box... you could modify your system if you're very handy with the tools, I believe our Machine Monkey has done such a job so search away
