Exhaust heat shield

The exhaust heat shield has started to root away where it's pinned to the car. This is the one underneath the centre of the car roughly where the exhaust joins the headers.
What are my options?
Can it be repaired (tin can lid?)
Can it be stuck, glued to the car?

Chances are when I try and unscrew the exuding washers they'll snap off

Where it's worn away the hole is too big for a penny washer

Anyone done this before?

I think Martin had to jury rig something on a previous car- worth asking but I’d be creating something using tin to sort

I recently found some Repair washers especially made for this problem as prevalent on a lot of various cars.I will see I can find on the Internet again and post.

I did search for exhaust heat shield repair and that didn't come up with too much
