Exhaust "fart"

Hi everyone

I have a 2014 28i with 35000 miles on the clock, when I drive spiritly in manual sports mode the exhaust gives of a loud "fart" noise (very boy racer) when I am changing up the gears, do they all do this or is my exhaust on the way out ?
also given the car is 11 years old now should I be thinking about possibly having the cam chain looked at? it can sound a bit "tappy" at times at idle, thanks for any advice really appreciate it.
 
The tappy sound is more likely to be the vacuum pump clattering like an old diesel..

At 35k miles providing you use API-SP oils at 5k intervals and avoid stop start function should go much further..

The cam chain tends to whine as it wears..

Exhaust fart in sports mode is normal..consider driving slowly in comfort more..
