Well an update with the problems. She went to RBM on 16th April. I asked them to do the oil service, change various fluids (diff, brake, gearbox) and investigate these problems.Dropped it off afternoon of 15th so they could have it all day on 16th. Phoned at the end of the day on 16th and was told everything done. They had a look at the warning codes and also found some vanos codes. Apparently testing showed "vanos intake and exhaust measurement checks are not in spec. The codes also said to check the timing chain if issues persist. They cleared the codes and took it for a test drive and no warnings came back. They suggest if problems persist to seek a vanos rebuild.
I got the train on 17th to go get the car and when I arrived they told me that the horns didnt work, the headlight washer pump was leaking as the pipe wasnt connected and they suspected a slow oil leak and to check the CPV
Today I started her up for the first time since the RBM trip and the warning light is back on again. Sad times

I plugged in the Creator C501 scanner and the ECM (Engine Control Module) section has a bunch of error codes:
2A81 DME : Inlet vanos, activation 2
2A80 DME : Intake vanos activation
2F80 DME : Engine switch off time, plausability
2A98 DME : Crankshaft - inlet camshaft, correlation
2AA4 DME : Camshaft sensor, inlet, tooth fault
2A93 DME : Intake vanos, activation
I'm a bit knocked for 6 by all this. Do I contact MrVanos straight away for a refurb replacement, that feels like guess work on my part? Would that fix all the error code issues? Or do I need to go to another garage that can tell me exactly what the problem is and what needs fixing?
