Mine lit up today. Car only has 4500 miles. Any ideas before i contact dealer. Car is driving as normal.
 
mine did it on the first day I got it - I didn't notice any difference either mate

Whilst driving around, i gave it some beans, and it went away. Mine had about 2.5k miles at that point.


Seemed like it was just getting used to being used properly again
 
I gave the car a good run within the speed limits and the light has cleared after restarting the vehicle.
 
Mine came on today after going on a 'spirited' drive, I had to pull over as the engine sounded terrible, really juddery and sick. Once I'd turned off and waited 5 minutes it had gone away. Not sure whether to visit the dealer or not now :(
 
Wow is me.

Mine came on three months ago in Z4MR. O2 sensor replaced under AUC warranty.

Came back on again the other week, told dealer exact issue/problem.

They take car in at 8:15am, tell them need it at 4pm. At 4:10 it is still in garage, get it at 4:45.... oh and we need to have it back as we don't have Z4 O2 sensor in stock.....so booked in next week.

Now running very rough... will not be driving it next few days till sensor replaced.

But this is now third visit to UK BMW dealer this year under AUC waranty and on each occasion they can't fix trivial job in a day.....mmmmm new car sales downturn.... rip off BMW UK instead.... ?
 
Which dealership gave you the runaround? I'm off to Barons today to see what they can do for me....
 
Lambda (O2) sensors are a common problem on Z4M's I've had three now....
