Exhaust diameter E89 3.0i

Does anyone know the exhaust diameter of my (new to me) 2009 E89 3.0i, just in front of the backbox. I'm going to fit a pair of remote exhaust valves rather than do a permanent backbox delete. I did a forum and google search but couldn't find anything relevant to the OEM exhaust.

Can you get under it? Wrap a piece of string round it, then measure the length and divide by 3.142 :thumbsup:
 
Yes, I love sound of a backbox delete but I'm not sure my neighbors would feel the same at 7am. I think the valves give me the option of not being a full-time a noise polluting tool :D

I would have measured it but I haven't picked the car up from the dealer I bought it from yet, he's having a few bits tidied up before I collect it. Im just spending money while I wait.
