I read loads of posts about these a year or so ago,( there was a bulk purchase of a metel tube that bypassed the backbox) and was wondering how may people actually did it and if so would they do it again ?

and has anyone got one for sale ?

I made my own for my car. If you give me the dimensions i can make some up for you Chris.

thats very kind of you - does it make the car feel as if it breathes more freely or rev faster and how intrusive is the noise at low speeds ?

I cant remember a difference i don't think it revs faster? Its not over loud a little meatier but there are more pops and crackles on over run.

If your near Oxford or going to any meets? Your welcome to have a listen and a passenger ride see what you think?

you had me on pops and crackles - sounds much faster to me :-)

what measurements do you need ?

Bypass pipes are 2 pipes that attach to your exhaust before the back box. And reattach after the back box. The ideas is to let an amount of exhaust gas bypass the sound suppressing part and make a bit of extra sound

I don't understand 3" would be to big the bypass pipe is usually 1" diameter and is a tight fit next to the boot floor. It wouldn't fit and I think the exhaust diameter is about 2 - 2 1/2 tops.

As for the dimensions they are on the original post about this. I think there is a price as well. If I get chance I will take a look. They need to be fitted witch requires back box removal 4 1" holes drilling and then the pipes welding in place.

Thanks for that. Taking the zed in to longlife Stockport tomoz to get a price on
Removing the cats.feel i need a bit more noise without being to extreme.

i did mine last year & it makes a little bit of difference, but not loads. Im quite tempted to get some 1 inch or 1 and 1/4 inch pipes made instead of the 3/4 that i have on

Hi,

Interested in this as I'm currently looking at ways of making things a bit louder on mine. I am currently looking at removing secondary cats but putting flange system in place so they can be put back into place for MOT visual inspection.

Has anybody done bypass AND secondary decat?

I might look into bending up some 1" pipe then. mine are 1" diameter. As Mikey says its not a huge difference. Mine might be a bit louder as i drilled a 2" into my back box and took another pipe out to make my quad exhaust system.

Are you removing secondary cats only? Would be interested to hear how you find it after that mod?

MM, This is something I've been considering with mine. How much louder than stock would you say it is? Where did you pull the second pipe on the box? Pics? thanks
