Exhaust/burning smell in cabin

03 z4 2.5i. I smell exhaust and possibly burning oil? With windows rolled up, top up. 60k miles on the car, no visible oil leaks on floor. I think smell is def coming from the vents. any ideas?
 
Could be rocker cover gasket .i'v the same prob.just happened .check for oil dripping onto exhaust.only needs a little to cause a smell.mines being fixed friday by my local indie

Yep same thing.theres a good vid on utube how to do it .19 mins long a guy called raj and his mate.doin the work.

I had the same problem with my 2003 Z4 3.0 with 64,000 miles. It would smell so bad that I had to open the windows for a few minutes to clear the smell. This happened about once a day until I replaced the valve cover gasket. This solved the problem right away.
