Exhaust back box

Hi all, does anyone know of a company that will do a back box for my 2003, 2.5 e85,close to Torbay Devon?
There are a few around the Plymouth area but they are expensive! I want something with a fruitier exhaust note! Maybe even a delete?!
Cheers Steve

FWIW I've heard an E85 3.0Si with a back-box delete and it's LOUD!

Certainly louder than I could tolerate on any sort of longer trip, and I liked the cat-back exhaust my previous E86 had as well as my louder than standard back-boxes on my M, so I wouldn't recommend removing it. Unless you can maybe hear one first.

+1 on that! As [ref]Mr Tidy[/ref] said, backbox delete is loud and drones easily. Heard it on another car and that confirmed my choice for a mid-silencer delete. I’ve done that recently and the sound is -to me- spot on. Sporty, burbles on the overrun and no droning at speed

I daily an N52 3.0i converted to the 3.0Si. In terms of exhaust mods, I only have the backbox delete. Measured it at 88.2 decibels under load in 2nd gear at 5500-7000rpm from 10 feet away. The passenger side is quite droney and loud, but the drivers' side is surprising much quieter and less droney. Something to do with the sound deadening in the cabin, I guess.

The car is much, much quieter than other modified cars and is still way under the sound limit here in California (95 decibels). My friend with a 1.8L Miata broke 98 decibels from the same distance and his car is still quiet when comparing to modified Mustangs, Mopars and tuner JDM cars.

The only thing I would consider loud about the backbox delete are the ludicrous pops/burbles after letting off above 5800rpm or downshifting to above 6500rpm. Even then, seems like police in my area doesn't care at all.

thanks for the replies.... anyone know who does exhaust work/mods in Devon?
Thanks Steve
