Exhaust Advice (RPI)

As you all know from my other thread me and zed are off round Europe in July :driving: .

However I have the RPI exhaust fitted, so my question is do I remove it for the road trip?

I'm 50/50 as I think it would sound epic at times.

OR... does anyone want to swap for a month a so for a slightly less loud system (not sure how practical this would be)

I thought that would be the perfect time to have a loud(er) exhaust on a fantastic car journey?

Not heard RPIs though, only standard or Remus back boxes.

I wouldn't mind but then again i'm partially deaf after driving with the RPIs for so long. :D

Not heard in flesh sadly

But can always give it beans when wanted;)

And lay off when don't ?

they drone so bad during cruising that it actually gives a head ache.... no exaggeration.

They only drone between 2800-3100RPM if you cruise at over that range then you'll be OK. It'll still be loud but it won't shake the earwax out of your ears. For example 120k/h in 6th gear is bang in the middle of that range, if i shift to 5th and cruise with that at around 3200 RPM it doesn't drone at all. Still loud but no drone.

I love mine, love the pops when just driving through town, I'd miss the sound if I took mine off.

i love mine... for an afternoon , lol, not 1000s of miles in one swoop... GL op... just take some ear plugs for when it gets too much i guess, but it would be so nice to be able to enjoy the trip and be able to actually talk with your partner etc.
