So, you've decided on a detail but which one do you go for ? I have done a search on here under detailing types, detailing etiquette, categories of detailing etc. but cannot find what I am after.
Are there any guidelines on the general format of a detail, is there a code of conduct for detailers to adhere to ?
Is there a professional body that detailers register to as you entrust them with several thousand pounds worth of your hard earned that has been transferred into the pleasure giving set of wheels that give you an ear to ear grin when you get behind the wheel ?
For example is a partial paintwork detail a quick wash, clay, T cut or whatever, some fancy sounding sweet smelling polish and then a wax; a full paintwork detail same as a partial but you get an extra wash and an expensive sounding exterior sealant and your tyres are blacked along with your mudflaps ?
Is an interior detail clean the glass, vacuum the carpets brush the seats and hang a magic tree air freshener off the mirror ?
Maybe some of you who have had detailing done would be kind enough to shed some light and give a general idea as to what to expect for varying degrees of detailing to us that are to busy to have time (and patience) to get our pride and joys back to 'just out of the showroom' condition. Mind you showroom condition can sometimes need a detail !!!!
