No envy whatsoever. Glad you enjoy it tho!

Err, I was only having a bit fun :) the 'iS' is more of a cruiser though, not an out and out sports car.

yeah was was aware of your jibe and the what you meant by it, friendly banter!!! i also was having a laugh :-) id actually really like an is for my DD, i cant lie my dealer has a 1M and with my modding talents i feel i could make a belter of a car.... but my god id need to start again, brakes, suspension, power upgrades, probably new turbos or a single turbo, uprated oil and intercoolers, id keep the wheels and add PSS with slightly wider tyres, At least -2. neg camber as bmws have horrible camber shift on hard driving which causes outside shoulder wear.......

i just Love the sound of a boosted s54... proper exotic, but the lure of the 1m is undeniable.......

my z4m is imo becoming close to motoring perfection........ im building my expression of the ulitmate bmw. I smile EVERY single time i pop into the garage or go for a drive.....

lol @ Modding talents! Calm down! You've bolted some big brakes on and fitted a leaky supercharger!

The rule of thumb is, if you mod a car you make it go faster, but make it ultimately less drivable day-to-day. NOT everyone wants a bone shaking ride with at least -2 camber!

The Z4 is far from motoring perfection. The damping is crap, the throttle response is poor or overly sharp. It's a 'good' car but I'd sooner have a stock 1M than a mod'd Z4M!

Sometimes u just gotta bite :-)

Easy big boy!The essay response really wasn't required, but amusing. In summary:

1/ You consider that everything you own is vastly superior to everyone else.
2/ Your opinion of tuning differs to that of the next person.
3/ If you are intent on posting abuse, at least do it with some valour and don't put smileys...

This is a public forum, there will be differing opinions!

I won't challenge you're comments over the Clio...Your view Vs. the next.

1 parting thought, why not organise a track day on a proper track!

3) boring............
4) curborough is local, been a member for 10+ years and i can get the keys cheeply for a low price for forum members..... It wasnt about the track, more to meet the members and have a good day :-)

parting thought for you also............ these forum are ALL about differing opinions i agree, the way you air those opinions is very important :-)

No more arguments,please.... my E89 35i blows the doors off every 35iS made and most M's....the extra 80 hp that I have all the time is qute a handful some days, but I love it.....and I drive my 245 hp Z3 every day now, its so much fun to snap it around a corner it makes me warm and fuzzy all over (oops, too much info  ).

Beedub, I'd love to try a 540 hp roadster some day, you got one ?

Mines only got 500 :-(

New dyno next week with race gas :-) and data logging, watch this space.....

Back to topic....

Interesting to see which would be quickest in a straight line off the start.

S-Drive 35is 1600kg and 340hp
Z4MR/Coupe 1485/1495kg and 343hp (338bhp)

I think the M would have the edge, plus it would sound soooo much nicer ! :poke:

BUT....when it comes to in-gear, "real world" usable power I don't think an M can live with that turbo torque in the 35iS, despite the weight advantage.

I have a feeling that Krytons new car will win  , if someone else drives it :poke:

as for the iS vs the M , M's don't have turbo lag, the DCT in the iS would even that up with the shifting loss in the M so I'd call it a very close one......
