Ex Z4C Owner

Morning all,

A few years ago, I had a 2006 Z4 Coupe - At the time I was 19 and probably didn't realize how special of a car it was, sold it at the age of 21. Completely loved it, but as I was starting out in the IT Contracting world, I needed a diesel!

Now 24 and have been looking at splashing on Exige V6/Vantages etc... But now have myself wondering if they're really worth double the price of a Z4MC, which I highly doubt.

Here comes the random question, do we have any Z4M Owners near either Moseley (Birmingham), Salford Quays or Skipton, North Yorkshire? I've never actually experienced the M, although I can just imagine it being my old coupe x10.

Me and the girlfriend took a 4.7 Vantage out 2 weeks ago, and all she could comment on was "The Z4 felt more special..." - She might not know much about cars, but it says alot!
 
Hmm, the Z4 is good but it depends what your priorities are if the other cars you mention are 'better'.

The Vantage sounds amazing and looks even better, driving experience it might be pretty close.

The Exige V6 is thrills on another level but not great as a daily driver.

Z4M could be a good compromise in the middle.
 
Having driven the Exige, you’d be very surprised by its comfort levels. The ride height could cause you issue, as the non-power steering, but a very surprising package.

My main reasoning was, i’d be looking at spending around £45k for the Aston and Exige. Whereas for £25k a good Z4MC is very attainable, I wouldn’t consider either £20k better... Plus the future residuals for BMW’s last ever 2 seater N/A sportscar could be very good.
 
I drove an Aston Martin V8 Vantage at Thruxton. It was a lovely car, but I felt a little disappointed by it.

The auto box was so slow when using the paddles :cry:

I imagine it would make for a lovely cruiser though.
