Well here are the first pictures of my new Z4. I now join the "nearer 60 than 50" clan -motto "you don't stop fun when you get old -you get old when you stop having fun"
2003 sterling grey model 44k miles on clock Xenons/heated seats/standard Business radio and multi CD set up-pretty standard stuff.
Been looking a while and thanks to all those on this site that have helped. Was looking at a 987 Boxter (too tall for 986) and the costs were running away.
Bought this last Monday from a guy in Chiswick that was emigrating and had it on e-bay. Did the usual HPI etc but and wanted AA check but he did not have a drive. Best thing I did (note all prospective purchasers!) -"come over to my Indy let him put it on a ramp for an hour and connect up to diagnostics and then I'll take you to my bank and do the deal" £50 to friendly Indy to do this was money well spent. Total bill from Indy to me £1400 - 2 new Falken 452's (bit of a mix up on my part and going to get the other two done) . Front bushes replaced. Blew through the roof drains to clear any rubbish. Also asked Indy if he could do anything re the rusty wheel nuts-he kindly cleaned up and painted them black without asking (Might just see in pics) ABS sensors done (£85 plus vat -thanks guys!) Inspection 2 service, New brake pads all round. Seller wanted £8500 for the car but settled for £6250 which I was pleased with. Lovely car, good to go and great fun already. Some pics below as required so I can now move out of the newbie column! Recommended mods? Maybe short shift gear knob? Also easy I phone 4 solution? (if poss without disabling Multi CD) .Thanks again all-great site.
