Heard on Radio 2 at 2.30pm today that the A543 from Pentrefoelas to Denbigh was closed as "the road is melting" ! I bet that spoilt a lot of peoples fun

It was 30 deg c up here today,tarmac wasn't the only thing melting.

My heart nearly melted as I came over the brow of that hill and saw the speed camera van on the Welsh run. There nearly another Z4 nestled nicely in the space I generally call the boot

I keep hearing about said van, but I saw nothing :lol: I didn’t stop nor slow down at any point... hope there aren’t “wanted” pictures of me around north wales...

Ha ha ! I'd forgotten about that. There was an ummarked police bike parked by the van also. I'd eased off to close the pack up behind me and rolled serenely past him at 40mph. Probably having a cup of tea and a biscuit and I bet they were laughing their heads off !

I think it was at the start of the run before you made you way nearer the front of the convoy :wink:

Hot tarmac is embarrassing stuff. Pulled away from the lights in my 100bhp Mazda2 grot box yesterday, to the accumpliment of screeching tyres? :roll:
