If you're after a roadster then a 1 series won't doManiac said:It’s overpriced. But most new cars are silly money now.
That said I got an offer through yesterday for an M140i . PCP, £10k dealer/manufacturer contribution takes the car to £27k
That’s shocking value compared to the new Z4 which has the same engine etc at £47k
£20k cos it’s newer tech, two seats less and a folding roof? Make your choice...

A bit like a 3.0si z4 or 130i, one is just a 1 series

Surely its also only 50/50 weight distribution when its sitting still.Pbondar said:Nismo said:fair review, last line a bit damning tho

Its interesting and a bit deja vu..
What's emerging seems to be amongst other issues is balance...
The 40i is too heavy on the nose /too powerful..
The 20i is nicely balanced but a little gutless
The 30i ? could be the best trade off..??
On the E89s the journos (and me) came to the same conclusion..
In the UK the 28i was never pushed on road tests..if that had been the launch press view, life may have been different?
I think this 50/50 weight thing is a load of b@[email protected] view..
How can two cars one with a 4 pot lighter weight have the same weight distribution as a pot heavier engine in the same place?
