Every household should have one at some time

My very first car was a Jaguar Mk4 3.5 ltr that I bought for £50.00 in 1962!! One of the early things that I did was to take it down to the M1 and have a blast at 100mph+ :) as there were no speed restrictions on the motorway in those days. Happy days!

I've had loads of nice cars since and am happy enough with my current Mercedes S-Class, Z4 M Coupe & Z4 3.0i roadster but wish I still had it as it would be worth a bomb now!

You've made me feel young again - 1962 !- I was 14 then :D my first car at 18 was a 1961 minivan ( kept a mattress in the back  ) at 22 I had a 1200cc 3 door Cortina - all I could afford at that time - my first venture into sports car was a red MG Midget ( bearing in mind I'm 6'7" .' was married with 2 kids and our only car things were a little cramped  Some years later had a XR2i which I loved .

As regards the Golf GTI - never owned one but have always liked the look of them - always considered VW's good solid cars - we've had our 1989 T25 Campervan for nearly 8 years
with very little problems - has passed recent MOT's with no advisories.

1985 was my first car and it was a Mk1 Escort..

XPF 293N...

I had a Mk2 RS2000 when i was 21 but cant remember what i had after that..
