Eventuri for sale £450 + PP - SOLD
When I bought my car over a year ago, I planned to remove this and swap it back to the standard airbox, however, the sound it makes is quite intoxicating and so I never quite got round to swapping back to OEM. However as much as I liked hearing the burble of the engine at low revs, and particularly through tunnels or along country lanes, I never really got on with it once the revs went over 4k. Don't get me wrong the sound is great but for me, just slightly too loud. Anyway, I have just had my inspection 2 and as the garage (Peter Van Der, who I can't speak of highly enough) had got me an air filter in as part of the service, so rather than have them discount me, I thought I would take the opportunity and give OEM a try. I know that the majority of people on this forum will think that I'm mad, but I prefer the sound of the standard box, (I do have exhaust Bypass valves so it's still loud) and I don't think the extra 15bhp I'm now apparently missing is noticeable! So I'm going to stick with OEM.
There are one or two marks on the underside of the carbon shroud but very, very slight and all on the bottom of the unit (s you can't see them when fitted), I have photographed one so that you can see what I'm talking about. The foam on the face that fits against the car has been slightly scuffed when it has been fitted, again you can not see this when installed. Everything you can see when installed looks perfect, and it does really improve the look of the engine bay.
I have looked on this forum and M-cutters and the previous prices for a second-hand unit seem to be about £500 and as there is nothing to replace on one of these filters, you might as well buy second-hand. The new price is £660 including VAT (plus delivery) so £450 plus postage seems to be a fair price, but I guess the market will decide! Postage will be about £15 and I will pay for the postage insurance. Collection is free!
There are enough people on this Forum (and others) that rave about these air filters and the noise they make, so please take my decision to go back to OEM in context with theirs. If you want to make your car sound like an animal, and impress your friends when you open your hood, then this is the product for you!! If you need any more information or pictures please PM me.
