Eventuri Carbon Intake Kit

Let's hope they don't make the same mistake as Simota did on their intake and assume all S54 engines will work with the same dimension tubes - even if they did have 'hundreds' of happy M3 owners

No chance of that as we actually developed the kit specifically on a forum members Z4M before we released the product. :D

CSL airbox is a totally different thing, and there is a lot more to the conversion.. And a lot more cash..

I would be suprised of you get 10bhp out of a cone filter though.....

I'm sure there will be some independent testing done around the globe that will show our power claims to be true. :)

I'm interested in this but would like to hear it in person as I have aftermarket pipes and this and the Gruppe M sound a little quiter than I imagined in videos.

I am just thinking that the power gains from this seems to be pretty similar to those from the CSL box, at 1/5 the price... they are made by the same company right? So what's their official line?

Have to admit, it doesn't sound as strong/deep as the Gruppe M I've just fitted. But that could be the video or a placebo affect (I.e my mind telling me the £650 kit I've just bought and spent an hour fitting sounds better...!).

It sounds pretty similar to my GruppeM....and for £200 less it seems like a good deal. British made too which is nice.

It's probably a very good marketing exercise if you were to get one on a forum car asap...if it's good we will all hear about it, and you'll no doubt see interest and direct response.

I can get Gruppe M kits for £645 plus £14 postage. From Roy at CA Technologies

Need an order of 6 or more.

Tried and tested and they take around 3 weeks from Japan.

To me this looks pretty much a poor mans Gruppe M far more suited to the Z4MR than the coupe!

I know it's fitted to Katie_K's car, but she very rarely posts. (97 total, nothing in 3 month's).

This is her thread for when she mentions about having the venturi fitted, she posts some teaser pics and promises to update...nothing but empty promises unfortunately.

I remember when woots had the Evolve CSL style airbox fitted, he spent a lot of time updating everybody, posting videos etc. Was fantastic marketing for evolve and if I had the money I'd go in that direction. Unfortunately, other than be able to develop the venturi on Katie's car, she's done nothing to drum up interest on the forum.

Agreed. See my comments earlier in this thread.

I also saw the Evolve CSL airbox kit fitted to an M3 at the PistonHeads Christmas breakfast meet. It rattled like hell and the owner said it was going back to Evolve to be sorted out. I can only assume KatieK is not that impressed otherwise she surely would have told everyone about it?

Not everyone is as forum-obsessed as us mate. Some just aren't that active in the online communities.

Personally i'm very intrigued by the Eventuri and if i wasn't perpetually saving money i'd jump on it....

That's fine, but then from a marketing perspective, wouldn't you develop the intake on a car whose owner is a forum regular? 2 birds 1 stone.

I will fit one...

Do back to back comparisons on the rolling road and then drive to evolve to have my car mapped and rolling roaded..

There are some interesting claims of approaching 375bhp with remap and filter for the S54..

The filter and map would have to be discounted though..

Imran here posting under Eventuri username. I would like to know who this owner is as I have not had any contact with a customer regarding a rattling Evolve CSL air box. If you look online there is not one negative review about the quality of the Evolve CSL Airbox.

Assuming something is wrong with the Eventuri just because she hasn't posted on this forum is not a fair comment to make at all. Here is her post from Instagram 6 weeks ago. Maybe she is too busy to post up her review on the forum?

Here is a review from her other half Paul46 on M3Cutters http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showpost.php?p=1542727&postcount=450

I have a kit here that we used for the photographs - anyone on the forum is more than welcome to come and take a look at it in person, have it fitted to their car, have a test drive around our area and have it dyno'd. If they like it they can buy it for the pre order price - if not then we can take it off and not charge anything.

As for the poor mans Gruppe M comment. Our carbon is second to none. The rest of the kit is ultra high quality - machined MAF housing and neoprene lined heat shield.

If one had volunteered, sure why not? Did any? But I don't know the answer though mate..
Yep - I did, but imran told me he already had a "prominent forums persons car as a test vehicle" - maybe not?!

Yep - I did, but imran told me he already "had a prominent active z4forum member" car as a test bench. Nuff said!

We had already started the process well before with Katies car. I'm sorry but you just seem upset with the whole pre order process rather than the product.

At the end of the day once the product gets in to more hands the quality and performance will prove itself just like with all our other kits.

This is just a selection. There are many more around.

Think some on here need to give Eventuri a break. They are offering what looks like a very good bit of kit for reasonable money with a great forum discount.

Surely we should be encouraging more of this than rubbishing their product before anyone has got and real reason to.
