Went to fill up today and the gas pump kept clicking off and them I had a "check gas cap" light that stayed on for about 8 miles and then went off.
Called a local car care radio show and they said I needed an "evaporative vent solenoid". I did a search and did not find a BMW part with that name.
What does BMW call this part ? Is it an easy repair ? Where can I find in on the Zed ? 2004, 3.0.

It looks to be a very easy replacement. RH side of engine in front of the DISA.
One plus for the electric power steering...I won't have to move the PS reservoir ! There is none..
After market some as low as <$30 USD. BMW part closer to $90 USD. Think I'll try an aftermarket, you wouldn't think this would be a part that would require an original BMW item, would you ?
