Mr Wilks, you and the Brera are welcome too :-)

Cheers Bad but chances are the Brera will have a new owner by next summer
If i was in Normandy at the time of the trip Honfleur is only 80miles from me so a possible for rendevouz ?
Or for those that want to squeeze in some extra touring around Normandy there are some great roads with very little traffic or gendarmes :driving:

Okay, very tempted so put me down as a 'maybe'. Depends on dates / circumstances at the time, but I'd love to pop my continental cruise cherry with a bunch of like-minded hooners

I will be +1 for sure, but there may need to be a fight in my house to determine who that +1 is :D

:driving:
I would have jumped at this, I love my Euro trips.
But mine and MrsOwl's daughter is getting married end of June 2015
I daren't even say put me down as a maybe for fear of wasting your time.
At this stage I will be a close watcher to see how this develops and the dates you choose.

Grumpy.

We've done many road trips like this on our motorcycle and have to say the roads are fantastic the small deserted villages you drive through are amazing.shopping like the locals do is great.only downside on a bike is having to plan fuel stops as unlike here you don't pass tescos every 20 miles which makes it all the more appealing.so looking forward to many road trips in the Z. :driving:

We have done 2 trips across the channel this year. Followed the french coast down towards the bay of biscay and second time to Antwerp. Great drives so can thoroughly recommend a little hoon across the channel. Depending on dates, we might join in.

Dropping down to Mulhouse to see the Schlumf collection is a must
I went last year for the first time and I will be going again this year!

In the meantime, I have a (new) friend with an E89 35si who is also a bus driver. For his job he has loads of hotels to recommend that are also affordable. I also got my best friend warmed up to help me organise this trip. He is an ex-police officer, now working with Interpol. He has many international contacts and he is also member of the motorbike club "Blue Knights", an international club for (ex)-police officers. He has loads of experience with road trips. He also already escorted car clubs with his bike, which he might do for us as well. Last one was a road trip with oldtimers, a line of cars for 5 kilometers bumper to bumper...

Distances per day will depend on average speed, so at higher speeds we may cover 500 kilometers, at lower speeds maybe half. We will also foresee at least 1 day to rest. The whole trip, including rest days, will not be longer than 1 week, to keep it feasible and affordable for many.

Sounds great but to be honest I'm not interested in all the race tracks more the drive, poeple and scenery

race tracks will mostly be stops as they usually have large parking area's. Maybe on 1 of the tracks and only for those interested, we can organise something. That could for example be the rest day for others. We'll see.

But keep the suggestions, ideas, worries and other remarks coming. It will only contribute to a better result ;-)
