EUROPLUS INSURANCE

hello,
I have bought a secnd hand Z4M coupé and the car has EUROPLUS insurance made from Germany BMW dealer.
I have a problem with the GPS navigation system.
I drove to the nearest dealer (Monaco Principality) and they saud that the insurance is valid only in Germany.
Anybody is familiar with the EUROPLUS INSURANCE?
To replace the GPS Monaco dealer asks almost 3000€ and says I have to pay for it and claim the money from germany.
Any suggestion???
thanks

Buy a cheap TomTom, get back to Germany and then get the in-car GPS sorted under the warranty/insurance.

X1 :? :?

There is something not right with the post. Spelling is good but grammar deliberately wrong. I smell an Anglo/French Troll....

The guy is just looking for help.

Dalmat,

Is that an aftermarket warranty? In the UK there is a 3 year dealer warranty, but other countries less I believe.

Is the GPS totally broken? Worst case scenario you culd buy a Nav unit from Ebay - did that with my VW Golf R32....

Hope that helps :)

Hello Steve,
thanks for getting back to me.
It is an aftermarket warranty!
Thank you anyway!

Dragonsbreath,
you can be more polite and less idiot with your comment.
have a good day

I assume the car is over 1 year old then as it otherwise would be covered by the BMW warranty, irrespective of in which country it is.

Could you specify what the problem is with the GPS in case it can be simply remedied?

On the subject of the insurance... The same story was told by my own dealer, who lives about 30 minutes from the German border. I do wonder why they call it EuroPLUS then, if the warranty is only respected within Germany and you have to pay any work upfront to your local non-German dealer.
