European rear lights...silly question ?

just a quick question, does the reverse light need to be on a certain side?

i have clear rear lights and recently noticed my rear fog light is white and on the o/s, and the reverse light is on the n/s.

i can get a red bulb to sort out the rear fog, but is it ok to have it on the drivers side?

The fog light should be on the drives side (RHD car in the UK) so just get the bulb and you should be fine. The reverse light can be on either side.
