Err, here in the US the last of the 2007 models are $7500 off until January 2nd. Most people are paying $43k-$45k right now, as dealers are giving the $7500 off invoice rather than MSRP. I paid $38k for mine last week, with 154 miles on it. The mid-range sports coupe market is tanking right now - people are getting great deals on Caymans as well.

European Car is also doing a Z4MC project car. The January 2008 issue has the 3rd installment, though their web site still only shows the first (they're notoriously slow about updating their web site). That issues has also got the 2nd article on the Long Term car.
