Yea looking forward to it. We did the Lakes a few years ago and recall it being pretty spectacular. Not looking forward to some of the crazy Italian Scooters Riders that seemed to be "locked on" to my back bumper last time I was there!!

 I know what you mean! Often one hand on the bars with tee shirt flapping in the breeze

I've just arranged a trip over in June. I'm driving and my wife is flying!!

Hull to Europort on 17th then overnights in Friedrichshafen and Lake Garda before arriving in Florence on 20th. Having picked up my wife at Florence Airport (hopefully), we then have a week to explore the area before separating for the return. I drive home from 27th June via the Dolomites and Bavarian Alps and a Calais to Dover ferry back to the UK on 30th. Win/Win!!

Are you driving to Friedrichshafen in one sitting?

Yea did it last year and loved the drive so want to do it again. Sailed to Zeebrugge then drove to Luxembourg (coffee stop and cheap fuel) - over to Baden Baden - down the A500 - across to Friedrichshafen. Full days drive but great fun as the weather was great. I recall arriving early evening.

Thinking about going via the Nurbergring this year as sailing to Europort.

I am very much hopping to do the same as i did this year :D

As long as i get invited back. Every trip needs a hooligan to do burnouts and doughnuts!!

We (my car loving wife) wanted to tour California but it's just too much to see and do everything we want this year so looked at Scandinavia with the help of Per (member on here). I visited Sweden and Norway about 10 years back and loved it, but will postpone this roadtrip for another year. Therefore this years Euro trip in the M will be in early July:

Highlights are: Bath to Calais, Reims, Route Napoleon, couple of days in the Alps, tracktime at Monza, east shore of Lake Como, Stelvio, through Austria, trackday at Spielberg (Red Bull Ring), Berchtesgaden (Hitlers Eagles Nest), Munich and the BMW Museum, track sessions at Hockenheim, annual pilgrimage to the Nurburgring for more tracktime then home!

I've done a similar route a few times, but haven't driven at Spielberg or Hockenheim nor visited the BMW museum, looking forward to it. :)

I want to come too this time :D

my thoughts are, ferry from Portsmouth to Spain, then drive across Spain and get a ferry over to Italy

Not much on the cards, but hoping to get up to Scotland to do that around the coast road thingy. :driving:

I'd say lets get this one in the bag before the Scottish school holidays start ( end of June)

But Le Mans in June for me - so what about end May??????

I've done most of the round Scotland trip before - worth the hassle of the long drive up there

Planning meet??????

Yep Curry Night, I reckon. - I'll PM you all.

Allow for a 1 hour detour going North from the Tickled Trout services (M6 /Preston) :driving:
Would be great to meet up for a drive through Ribble Valley , Bowland Fells & back onto M6 at Lancaster via Jubilee tower

Only Zeds allowed Mr Wilks, so you'd better not be wanting for one by then... ! :poke:

I think it would be great if somebody organised a Round Britain "Relay" Zed Trip, allowing all members to join on for a leg or two as it passed through their area.

"Lands End to John O'Groats" and back type thing.
- It just needs an organiser. ....Now who do we know who lives in Cornwall and can start getting buzy on it ?
