Do people want to put there name down for maybes :?

Definitely a maybe and might possibly have a friend interested too but can you please put a bit more detail re exactly which ferry to book (date, time, company), what hotel, are we doing a group booking etc etc...

Sorry to be demanding but I need the info to plan it out. :)

Hi Mate

As follows

Ferry 29th March - 12:00
Ferry 3rd April - 18:00

Cost £88.00 - Currently a 20% discount till the 14th

Hotels:

Dorint - Track Side Hotel for 3 nights Fri, Sat, Sun

£260ish based on two sharing , so if you want a room to yourself double

£48 - Cologne is Mercure Hotel Severinshof Koeln Sole room and twins the same price

£48 - Brugges - Ibis Sole room and twins the same price

Fuel I have budgeted -

From my postcode - total trip miles - 1050 miles I budget - 1250 miles at 28 mpg so I have budgeted £266 for fuel

So fuel Ferry, Hotels all together - £710 as am going with a mate were splitting the cost so its £355 each + spending money

Am leaving form Wiltshire and picking my mate up near London
And guys are heading down form Yorkshire to Dover

Then just some spending money!

Guys if you want more detail please PM me an myself or Tom will give you links to our trips and a more compressive break down etc , and the exclusive Facebook page!!!

Maybes updated :)

Cheers Paza

Only if you buy her from the dealer I just traded her in against an M... ;)

Serious about a potential co-pilot though if I do decide to do this, not sure daughter would want to do this trip. Might ping a petrolhead friend (although he'd probably want to then bring his hopped up RX-7...)

stu if u struggle to find a suitable co-pilot let me know, work/money/time off dependent i might be able to pop along so if either of us have snags keep in touch....

i do want to do something in Europe this year.....

I'd like to do this, but it looks like I might have to be in South Africa. Typical, a trip I've wanted to do for ages comes up with work and clashes with a run I'd really like to do

If you can stand up in front of a fair sized audience and evangalise/waffle on for an hour or so from a stage about technology, and a couple of suppliers of said technology, you'll do just fine. No binary to hex conversions required

Thanks Paza...I checked ferry this morning and it was £110....tempted, as missed out big time last year

Stark do not forget to hit the 20% discount tab , therefore reducing to £88 all in

as per link

Thats a bummer Stu there is always next year!

do you have to get sperate european insurance? and track insurance....any cons with it?

bear in mind ive never driven around a race track....but i do wanna go...

You'll need to check with your insurers. Most cover EU travel, but most specifically exclude the Nuerburgring circuit itself.

Woots , Stu is correct , EU car cover + breakdown is not a lot 20/30 quid , but most excluded The ring even thought officially its a Toll road... long debate not the time.. Also most UK insurers Excluded travelling on this Toll road!... eg The Ring.

Therefore you have some options

Track Insurance MMM5 is best to ask regarding this , bit of a track guru
Hire a Track car its only 300 is euros for the day .. split between 4 of you that’s not a lot of dollor, fav option
Hire car per track a company does Elise for 50 quid a lap I think
Or Risk your car by racing around in it

My plan is one/ two chicken laps to cruise around in the porker then am hiring a track car I think as it’s seem to be the safest option.

Woots some of the best roads are actually around the Nurberg itself and are a lot more fun :driving:

If you after more info PM me :)

i would be interested in taking my car around the track probably just for one slowww lap, to say ive taken it...and qualify for the boot sticker
and then either passenger/watch for the rest of the day...hmm i ll do some research
