Hi All,

Im thinking of taking next week off to tour europe in the Z4, I bought the car to drive and what better than to tour different countries?! Just checked with my insurance that I am covered and I am, I got BMW cover for any break downs etc so I think I'm all set except I have no route.

What would you guys recommend? I was thinking France, Swiss Alps and some German Autobahns I got around 4/5 days to go at do you have any high recommended routes?

Also anyone who can get the time off is very welcome to join me on this adventure, I will be camping where possible.

Regards
Steve

Now if it was in a few weeks, I would probably join you. I'm in Amsterdam next week! I quite fancy a last minute "Sod it, let's just go on holiday" thing.

That's what ive done a last minute thing. My GF is in Egypt who I am missing very much so it was either £550 to get to her for 4 nights or doing somthing I've always wanted to do (touring europe in a car)

Struggling to find people who can just take 5 days off at short notice atm lol

Thanks Pawn, I will print this out and make a plan tomorrow.

BTW how much did it cost you in fuel? So I take enough in euros etc?

Hmmm... well including the run down to Tuscany and back... over £400 - plus £100+ in road tolls, that's at around 30mpg. My route was around 2,300 miles. Am definitely going to do another one at some stage... hopefully a little less rushed. Credit to Dave for sorting a route for me with such little driving time. The return route was superb and that was missing a couple of passes.

:driving:
