Take it form me. There was about as much chance of me jumping without a rope, and there was with one

Have you switched cameras too Dave - sometimes your ///M looks very orange and then back to what I think looks normal again?

Is this amount of snow very unusual at this time of year?

:)

I know what you mean Mike.

I got the new DSLR a couple of months ago, but with all that happened with my dad, I had never even used it before I went on holiday. Do you think the poloriser has anything to do with it?

I'm a bit of a bonehead with it, and am a long way from some of the competition shots on here. Can only get better I guess.

Does your other half actually enjoy the driving fast or cars? Or does she just put up with it because it's what you want to do? :D

We are both car fans and love to travel.

She doesn't like driving too fast, which suits me. A lot of the fast driving I have seen over the years is just reckless IMO, with little regard other road users.

My maximum speed is dictated by the road and environmental conditions, not the power of the car.

I'm no "driving god" but I can "make progress" if my mood, and conditions allow.

:)

I saved a couple of pics, you've used two different cameras for the pics which give a different colour. The Canon is giving the orange effect, maybe it is the polariser, but TBH I'm clueless - I just point and click!

Ah, I guess that helps then. My OH isn't into cars at all (Although she has picked up on a few cars she'd like; Nissan Figaro being one of them!). That makes it a lot harder to plan a road trip at some point.

To be honest, I doubt I would want to do much brisk driving on a road trip either, but it's nice to know your other half is comfortable with you doing so when you do. My OH is OK with a brisk drive now and again!

Would like to do a road trip next year while I still have a nice car... Depends if I keep it that long!

Thanks so much for posting about your trip, stunning car and brilliant photos. It's inspired me to start planning a trip around Europe for our car club in 2010 visiting all the great places you have - hopefully I'll have a Z4M by then as well 8)

Thats fantastic DB (same initials as me :D ).

It great to think my post has helped others do a trip like this.

If you need any more info just give me a holler. I can send you links to other tours I've done over the years :)

Good luck with getting yourself an M. It's a great car.

Anyway, back to this trip -
