Euro Rear Lights

Morning all

On the preface lift cars like mine I've always found it frustrating that the lights aren't symmetrical.

Obviously one solution is to buy a set or rears from abroad, and this is one I'm exploring.

Couple of questions

What other alternatives are there in the after market?

Do the paint matched silver trim inserts swap over?

If I buy a pair, what the heck do I do the the other one (I'd keep the white one and get a red fog bulb)

Anyone got any pictures with a double white?

Did mine a few years ago; bought a set from the US via eBay and they were plug and play. The French fries swap over; they use thin adhesive tape with two locator pins.

I’ve seen posts where people buy the all-white units and then either leave them or tint them manually. I preferred my option :lol:

FYI I sold my old standard pair on here to someone who needed them.

ETA only snag was getting a fog light bulb; getting a non-LED bulb with the correct pin pattern seemed nigh on impossible. Ended up with a cheap Chinese LED bulb that has the correct pin pattern so it isn’t mangling the bulb holder, but it does throw a bulb-out warning on the dash, but only when you’re using the fog light. Rest of the time it’s fine. I couldn’t find a bright red LED bulb with built in resistor and the correct pin pattern.

Not cheap and many will say no different to the eBay specials, but they are good quality and just need the checks coding out.

Not sure if that's the correct fitment.
Don't bother with "CANBUS compatible" or load resistors, just code out the checks.

Normal, non-LED bulbs are readily available on ebay/Amazon. Just make sure the pin alignment is correct. When I did a swap on my son's zed I needed to make a second purchase though; I thought the first bulb was a little too pale and not a strong enough red to be a foglight. It was probably ok, but the second one I bought is absolutely fine. And cheap.

I use a red LED for the fog light and LED bulbs everywhere else in the rear lights... just need to code them out, especially the indicator bulbs...

This is almost certainly a mod I'm going to end up doing, just looks so right in the pictures you've all shared.

I doubt anyone else would notice but it'd be worth it for me
