Really easy mod and different to the four clear spots. German passenger side rear light fitted to a UK car and you get a clear fog light on the drivers side, add some red lense tape and you get what you see here, indicators still look orange and flash dark orange but the red tape just takes that bright orange edge off.

While I was in the mood to make a few changes I finally got round to doing a clear indicator mod using doner lights, not a straight forward job but not as difficult I was expecting, just need a steady hand cutting the original lights open.

Just need some clear side repeaters now.

Looks nice Dave :)

I am not brave enough to cut headlights, have to find some clear ones from somewhere.

Try this item number for side repeaters on ebay: 170626411534

Hope it comes handy for you.

Thanks for the link navid.v will get some ordered after the bank hol.

I tried the demel method but it was to time consuming so as I didn't need to re-use the original lense I ended up cutting them open with an angle grinder fitted with a 1mm thick cutting disk, did them both in about 10 mins.

Want some new wheels now but wedding plans are taking up any extra funds at the mo

Perhaps I'm being thick/pedantic, but surely for a clear headlight conversion you still need a set of clear headlights anyway? Unless someone knows of some other way of getting hold of some clear inserts/lens part to replace the amber inserts/lens part...

Looking good davegt. Have a search for my posts on rear lights: using tint spray you could easily get rid of more of the amber spots whilst remaining legal. I did my OEM UK lights with them and they're redder looking than yours but flash proper orange.

Ally,

my understanding was if you buy facelift lights (halogen) it would be a straight swap,so,there would be no need to cut anything!

Just need to de-badge the rear now and it'll look more balanced, was going to do it today but have ended up replacing the front and rear brake pads, front roll bar bushes and drop links.
