Euro Cup 2016 or ????

It appears The Daughter has lucked out with 8 tickets to 4 Euro Cup matches next summer.
(Forgive me if I got any names or dates incorrect but remember I'm in Canada and I know it's not hockey.)

Anyway ...It's a soccer competition being held in France next summer.
She has 4 tickets for games in Marseille and 4 tickets for some place in Northern France on the Belgium Border.

So at this point she doesn't know what the draw is, so the teams are unknown.
Due to the distance between venues and the short turn around it looks like she can't work in the northern games.
It looks like me and SWMBO will be using the northern tickets, while her brother and she will lounge in the South.
Some have mentioned that the rocket trains in France could make a run to the north possible, but I have no idea if this could work.
And I would be thrilled to visit some of the WW1 locations my Grandfather fought through. (I have a huge interest in the CEF 26th New Brunswick Battalion)

Being across the pond and inexperienced with the craziness that is Euro / World Cup, any advice would be appreciated.
Things like booking accommodations, options or choice of accommodations (Are B&B's or Inns an option ?) .
How early should we book ?

Sounds like a great adventure for the family.
Just have know idea what we should expect.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated and if you are local to any of these events - Well I can bring over some Maple Syrup for your troubles.

As with all football (that's what we call soccer) this side of the pond it has a very big following as all of Europe take part in this event. Accommodation will need to be booked soon, as there will be high demand for them.
You should hopefully get to see some great games from some of the world's best teams.
I was lucky enough to get to most of England's matches when we hosted the Euro's in 96 and loved every minute of it.
With regards to trains etc yes they have fast trains in France but the northern parts and southern parts will be group games I assume and will be played at same time. Once group games are done with they move to the knockout stages and they could be at various venues.

Your link is a great start - Especially the profiles of the cities involved.
Daughter has tickets to 3 group matches and one knockout stage.
Apparently the draws for the groups happens in November, so til then the combatants are unknown.
Plus there is some sort of mechanism that allows ticket holders to trade tickets.
So there are lots of options still open.
She entered into the draw assuming her chances were slim. That is why she chose those locations, assuming the competition for tickets would be less in those locals.

Now I've got to figure out how to best manage this adventure.
Hence my call for advice.

I think host nation will be playing in Marseilles. Qualifying is still happening here. Englands last qualifying game is October. They should qualify if memory serves me they haven't lost a qualifying game yet
 
I would book the hotels you want now as they will go fast as soon as the countries playing there are announced and their prices are sure to go up !
