Euro Car Parts slowing down?

Anyone ordered anything from Euro Car Parts recently?
Just be aware that they are really slowing down at the moment. To be expected I guess.

I ordered a few bits on the 2nd April. Parcel arrived yesterday, but only half the order, with an invoice to match. But they have already taken the full order amount from my account.

Currently been in the queue for online chat for over an hour. Started at No 192, now down to 23, but it's slowed right up.

Not really complaining, as I'm sure there are perfectly good reasons for it.
Just bear in mind if you need something quick you may have to pay the premium delivery rate.

I always click and collect as they are less than 2 miles from me

Not got one near me, but I'm sure the website said they're not doing that service now?

Edit: Yup, just checked. Click and collect is key workers only................with ID to prove it.

Not been for anything for a few weeks but have a letter from work saying I am a key worker

So good to know in advance thanks

Hi,

thanks for the general heads-up.

I confirm it is the case: a friend of mine and I ordered parts from Euro Car Parts on March 27th and I got it delivered (in full) only yesterday. My friend got 80% of his parts and charged for the full amount.

In fairness to ECP, they did mention that delays were to be expected.

OK thanks.
I assume your friend will be getting his other bits??

It’s not just them...my next day Amazon order, ordered on Thursday and in stock, is due on Friday 24th.

I have a solar charger on order for my old man, to be sent to his address.
Car Parts 4 Less dispatched it from Birmingham via DHL on the 10th April.
It went to Gatwick and has been in the DHL warehouse ever since!
So it's not just the suppliers. Even after they send it on its way it gets stuck in the delivery system.

If you’re within the catchment area of a store, and it’s in stock, they’re actually doing free delivery for orders over £15.

I ordered some antifreeze and got they arrived with it in one of their own vans within hours. The catchment area is pretty big, the bath branch where I am is closed and they delivered from Bristol ! Really impressive.

Ah, so instead of online ordering, it's better to ring the local store?
Good info. Thanks

I ordered some bits form car parts 4 less (sister company) on Thursday and got them Friday. The came in an ECP van and bag!
It was only an air filter and some spray cans to be honest so I would expect them to be in stock.

he definitely hopes he will!

Well, I left my chatline queue running and got to place number 1 at 4.48pm.
And there it sat! The line closes at 5pm.
FFS, surely they should make a cut off point and deal with all those that have been waiting.
I left it running and checked back every now and then as I was home doing other stuff. In total that was a little over 5 hours!

Guess I'll just need to just wait and see if the other half of my stuff turns up?

I'm not sure about calling in-store. Their website went down on Thursday, and when it came back on there were a more delivery options. the same-day free delivery is just a tickbox at the checkout. I think if your sale is below £15, the service is only 2 pounds.

Really impressive service, and well needed as my daily mini is springing oil leaks faster than I can refill it. It's on the drive in pieces, it will be ready to take me to work on Monday  :?
