Just had the zed in for new springs I could have replaced them myself but the car was under warranty so I took it in to my local inde to do the job, I explained to them the car was fitted with a bmw sport pack which ment the car was lower than a standard set up

when I saw the car I was in shock the rear end was up in the air with enough gap between the rear arch and the wheel to get four fingers between , as you can imagine I was not impresed I had a chat to the garage owner and he said that the warranty company would not let him use genuine bmw parts and they would have to come from a factors , if any one has looked at the ECP web site where the springs came from , all the z4 models are coverd by the same part number , I drove the car home and quiet frankly it handeld like a pig the garage has aggreed to swap the springs over if I can find somone to suply sport pack springs ,

I did this the springs are suplex part no 06231 and came from a company called Anderw Page ltd in leeds next day inc Vat £128 tel 0113 3970200 , anyway the new springs turned up friday and to save booking the car in taking it to the garage for a second time and then having to go back and pick it up draging the wife in and out for lifts , I just changed things myself it only took me an hour now the car is sitting as it should , I am returning the ECP springs to the garage so they can be sent back I have rung them and they are going to pay me for the suplex ones .

Tale of woe there from a warranty company insisting on non oem parts, ECP supplying obviously wrong bits for the car and the indie fitting them.

Interested to see how you get on with the one's you sourced as many people with ///M suspension have indicated a desire to change from OEM but not to aftermarkket that further lower the car.

Thats why I went for the suplex ones they cant be any worse than OEM springs and I did not want to lower the car any futher you would not believe the diference between these and the ECP ones the ride hight is spot on and the handling is as good as the OEM so all good so far

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I was doing some browsing and found these Suplex springs on ebay, wondered how they were faring? I wouldnt want to lower the car should I get this issue when I get my z4 too..
