Forecast is for a 'sting jet' (never heard of that before) to whip the wind up to higher speeds than in a normal storm. Oh goody! :o

Stay safe peeps....

Better get the generator ready. Overhead power lines here so the first to go down :?

It just sounds like a strong breeze compared to what we had in October 1987 and January 1990.

But thankfully I won't be working in insurance claims this time. :D

Hopefully not too bad here, forecast is only 64 mph gusts for a few hours. Fingers crossed for all, no damage to self or property.

Edit: Just took a peek at the forecast for the top of Helvellyn. Tis pretty similar to what it was last Thursday.

When I was trying to stand up on top of it. :o  :P

My hat blew away and the only way I could stand to take this photo, was by leaning against the trig point behind me. Then I had the fun of down climbing Swirral Edge. :D

Did you not win the silver medal for Norway in the cross country skiing event on Tuesday? Looks very familiar.

Been told not to go to work tomorrow thanks to Eunice so relaxing with a beer on a Thursday night!
The Zed passed its MoT today as well so that's another reason to savour a can or five
