This fact was backed up by the EU under pressure / influence from the British government so is perfectly logical.
I would just point out at this point that although a proud Scot a united Britain is preferable to me but also a Britain in Europe.

Not at all.
Two years of Westminster Propaganda and threats from the very same people that promised Scotland....
No Job losses
Steel Industry OK
Banks etc will not relocate
Oil Industry safe
No threat to EU
Strongest devolved powers the world.
Now these very same people are telling us that we'd be better out of the EU or better in the EU.
They do not have a clue.
At least maybe this time they won't be phoning the pensioners and scaring the s**t out of them with threats of losing their pensions or sending up English activists to campaign.
You're only going to get 4 months of the English Propaganda, threats, smears and fears from the media.
It's not about the EU it's all about London and f**k the rest.
Will wait and see how the Fiscal Framework result is tomorrow for Scotland but I think it's safe to say last one out turn off the lights.

Good luck with that then - there were about 4 million Jocks voting in the independence malarkey! But even having the independence vote suggests to me that a "united" Britain is not what many Scots want!
And what about the other 50+ million UK voters - we never got to say whether we wanted to keep Scotland in the Union - and frankly I didn't and still don't! (Despite my father being born in Muir-of-Ord).
Another example of rule by the minority! Just like the EU, which the Scots seem desperate to stay in like the Poles, Romanians, Greeks and other failing nations!

Siemens UK alone had an annual turnover of £5 billion. - Half of that for European customers.
Other German companies in the UK have a combined turnover of more than £200 Billion and employ more than 370,000 people.
I'm working for a dutch company in the UK. We have invested £31 Million in the last two years and even got an Award for Investing in the Region. (East London)
Subsidies make headlines and people then focus on that. Make yourselves familiar with the whole picture before the referendum, make sure you all get your facts straight before your economy takes a hit.![]()
Taz, this is not personal in any way![]()
